Service Provider Orientation

Redwood Coast Regional Center believes that our system of services and supports should be determined by the individuals served. For this reason, Community Resource Managers provide orientation for potential service providers in order to share our philosophies, emphasize best practices, share pertinent regulations, discuss the need for business plans, and go over areas of unmet needs; other areas of education are provided, as needed. When required, orientation is scheduled individually by Community Resource Managers.

For those interested in licensed residential services, formal orientations are offered twice a year, once in Eureka, once in Ukiah. Participants will receive an overview of what is involved in developing quality services, such as ways to promote consumer choice, relationships, preferred lifestyles, health and well being, and rights. In addition, people will gain an understanding of what the ongoing expectations are for service providers. The presentation will provide an enjoyable process for people who want to understand how to provide excellence in consumer supports and services. Participants will receive copies of the pertinent regulations and other relevant materials.
