What is a Financial Management Service (FMS)?
Everyone who participates in Self-Determination is required to use a Financial Management Service (FMS). FMS agencies help people manage their budget and spending plan, but they do not control the budget or spending plan. The FMS ensures that payments are made on time for the services that you are using. Your FMS will also monitor your funds to ensure that you have sufficient funds to support your needed services.
