The goal of this document is to educate people about what Medicaid means to Californians, and in particular what it means to people who are connected to Regional Center services.

Because much of the language about Medicaid and related services can often be difficult to understand, even for professionals, our team wanted to make sure that this information is clear and easy to understand for everyone, regardless of disability.

While we don’t want to tell people how they should feel about proposed changes to Medicaid, OR whether or not they should participate in advocacy efforts, RCRC does believe that people are entitled to easily accessible information about how the system works so they can make their own informed decisions.  Should someone feel like they would like to become involved in advocacy efforts, there is information at the end of the document on how they can participate if they choose.
